From time to time everyone needs to get a new set of tyres...
...yes, even steam locos have tyres...and 3642 has a total of six on its driving wheels.


Locomotive 3642 is a true Legend of Steam™ – an icon of our Heritage Express tours – and a much-loved stalwart of steam locomotive preservation since the early 1970s.

We ask you to give generously to this project. Your donation will allow us to continue operating 3642 into the distant future, for the enjoyment of everybody and the education of generations to come.
Donating to the 3642 Tyre-Replacement Project is easy.


Receipts, for tax deductions, will be issued for all donations over $2.00.

Donors who give more than $200.00 will receive a specially-printed, personalised certificate, commemorating their gift to this important locomotive.
