Saturday, December 6 - Coast Twilight
Dinner

Splendid ocean views on a journey along the south coast to Bombo beach and historic Berry.

Depart Sydney Central and relax aboard with afternoon tea on the coastal route to Bombo, NSW's only beachside railway station - enjoy a late afternoon beachside stroll, then continue on through Kiama to historic Berry village for a pre-dinner walk around the tree lined streets ... and perhaps some Christmas shopping at the fine art, craft and antique stores.

Rejoin the Southern Aurora at sunset for a two course dinner with a festive flavour, accompanied by superb twilight ocean and escarpment views. Return to Sydney Central after coffee, tea and Christmas treats.

MAIN: Rolled loin of pork stuffed with apricots & pistachios, served with maple glazed vegetables and port wine jus.
Seared ocean trout on cauliflower purée, green beans & hazelnuts, lemon oil and chive dressing.
DESSERT: Fig & mascarpone tart with chocolate rum sauce and summer berries.
Spiced brandy iced parfait filled with groggy fruits and redcurrants.
AFTERWARDS: Chocolate plum pudding petit fours, tea and coffee.

Sunday, December 7 - Central Ranges Daylight
Luncheon

Board at Sydney Central, Strathfield or Westmead and take a civilised and scenic day trip across the Blue Mountains to the glorious hidden valleys of the Central Ranges.

Enjoy morning tea travelling through the mountains - step off at remote Tarana for a pre-lunch drink at the classic old country pub. Relax with a lavish, progressive luncheon - entree accompanied by valley views on the way to Bathurst, then, after a short stroll, rejoin the Southern Aurora for main course, dessert, fine cheeses and tea / coffee and Christmas treats - a moveable feast, with fabulous mountain and valley vistas. Early evening return to Westmead, Strathfield, Sydney Central.

Fresh asparagus with marinated fetta, slow roasted cherry tomatoes and pancetta.
